🆕 How is WEB Proxy different from regular MTProto?

WEB Proxy is a new proxy connection type added directly to Telegram Desktop.

Instead of a standard direct proxy connection, Telegram uses WEB transport via HTTPS / WebSocket.

This makes the connection look much more like regular web traffic and makes it harder for filtering systems to detect and block it.

The following connection details are used:

You no longer need to enter an IP address, port, or MTProto Secret.

⚙️ How to connect:

1. Update Telegram Desktop to the latest version
2. After purchase, receive your personal WEB Proxy credentials: Hostname and Key
3. Open Telegram Desktop
4. Go to “Settings” → “Advanced” → “Connection type / Proxy”
5. Click “Add Proxy”
6. Select “WEB”
7. Enter the provided Hostname and Key
